Crane Inspection Certificate

For purposes of insurance or for financial transactions and leasing companies often require a crane inspection certificate. We can support your business with inspections of used cranes and with valuation of assets. It means one of our technicians travels to inspect the crane, writes a crane-inspection-checklist and the management of Mevas does a valuation. All documents are provided in a standardized format and the valuation document is signed and stamped. Mevas does crane inspections and valuations since 2006.

Valuation of second-hand Cranes

We evaluate and inspect used cranes for customers from allover the world. Local technicians inspect and document the condition. Based on new machine price, age, working hours and maintenance status the management of Mevas does a valuation. The calculated value is being compared with the current market situation. This way it is ensured the machine value is correctly determined. On request we follow specific testing requirements.

Experience

In the last couple of years the Mevas team has inspected the technical condition of more than 400 used mobile cranes. Most of them have been machines of Liebherr, Tadano-Faun, Krupp and Terex-Demag. On the other side we have also approved the condition of crawler cranes and lattice boom or tower-cranes of Kobelco, Potain, PPM, Hitachi, Manitowoc and other brands. The crane range we feel comfortable with goes up to 250 ton lifting capacity.

Crane Testing Procedure

When Mevas is inspecting a crane the inspector follows always a structured procedure. Together with a crane operator the most common crane functions are performed and test results noted in a crane-inspection-checklist. The crane-inspector follows the test-form and does plenty of photos. This way he can be sure not to oversee any major problem. After a crane inspection we discuss our results with the customer. The feedback is taken to improve our service with each inspection. We listen to our customers.
